mmmm beetles!! Warning: there are BUGS in this post!

I picked up Hard Candy's Beetle about a month ago and didn't really want to swatch it, because it's not fall/winter and I really just wanted to swatch Bright and Shiny things:)

But last night, I couldn't resist the urge and I did it! woohoo!!

The nail polish reminds me of these beetles.

How cool to have your skin, or in their case, Chitin, change in sunlight.

Well onto my swatches!

On my truck lol

These are all three coats with LA colors base coat and Seche Vite top coat.

This color changes from a purple/maroon, to an olive green/almost yellow color, depending on which way your nail is turned

I noticed in the shade or inside the reddish color is more of a dark maroon, but in the sunlight it becomes an awesome bright purple

I couldn't really capture it's color in these photos.

Like the indent on my middle finger? I did it just for you :)

Blurry goodness

I

I noticed at the tips of my fingers and at the cuticles when there was wear, it became more green/blue than the rest of the polish.

A very trippy polish, and I am most impressed at only $6.00.

Final Verdict: LUBBS IT!!!! thanks for reading! have a great night!

Hazard! there is Glitter!

I'm really not sure what collection this is from, but it's fairly new. I want to say it's the Polka Dots Collection. It also has Nirvana in it.

Anyway this is 'Hazard' from Sinful Colors.  It has been described as a cantalope pink. I guess that would be accurate.

I used three coats on all fingers.

On my Accent nails I used Milani's 'Gold' This are like humungo gold hexagonal glitter in a clear base. I used two coats, and pretty much mashed glitter where I needed it lol

I topped it all off with Seche Vite. I love this color!! so pretty and spring timey lol

Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful night!

Suzi likes More

I subscribe to a style magazine called More. It's pretty awesome with trends, businesses HUGE and small, and fashion for the frugal and the rich.

Whilst flipping pages I came across the gem...

Thanks for reading.. have a great day!

Giveaway Swatch Uno.

So yesterday I posted about a giveaway I won from Leslie over at Nail Polish Art Addiction. This is a swatch from one of the polishes.

I decided to use Red Dazzle, because.. let's face it..I'm attracted to bright and shiny things. I used two coats, even though this can be completely opaque in one coat (hence the name - one coat glitter :D). This is a clear base with tons and tons and tons of red micro glitter.

But that would mean that I would actually have to pay attention while painting my nails and not leave bald spots :)

So here are my swatches.. hope you enjoy!!

Please just don't notice my pointer finger :)

Sorry about no clean up.. again doing nails and homework :)

AND... this glitter is ridiculous to get off :? ack! but i still feel like Dorothy :).. yes the girl from Kansas just made a Wizard of Oz joke :)

Here we are with a top coat. I used this as my base coat as well. I don't really like it. but I'm too frugal to throw it away :)
Blurry glitter madness

Looks like it has gold, but I think that might be the lighting

Thanks for reading! have a great day!!

My First Zoya

So I layed in bed at 11:30 this morning thinking about how I have no Zoya polishes and I've really got to get some...well.. Ask you and shall receive. I got up, and got my mail and in it.... was my very first Birchbox (you can read about that here..My First BirchBox)!!   And in that.. was my very first Zoya!  It is 'Jules' and it is from the new Intimate Collection

My thoughts.. nice formula, okay dry time, and beautiful color! These are all three coats. You can achieve opaqueness in two depending on how thick your coats are. Mine were pretty thin so I used three

Check out my photos and have a great day!!

I like how I decided not to paint the sides of my nails.. lol

I won a giveaway!!!! yay!!!

So last week I was informed by Leslie over at Nail Polish Art Addiction that I won Part 3 of her giveaway!! I was totally stoked when she sent it out Thursday and I received it today!! So fast.. well we only live three hours apart lol!!
