Sahara Sapphire

I picked this up purely because it perplexed me. Is it a foil? Is it a  Duo-chrome, shimmery, mess of awesomeness?!

I'm not the best on finishes, but luckily there are enough other polish bloggers out there, that all I had to do was google "Nail Polish Finishes" and wah-lah!

I've decided to say this is a metallic frost? pearl? Shimmer? I don't really know but it's gorgeous. 'Sahara Sapphire' is blue/lilac in color. It goes on a bit streaky but not as bad as I thought it would be.

I used two coats here based with Nail Life and topped with Seche.

Final Verdict: Pretty good, I like it!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a fantastic day!

Haul time!

Here in Louisiana I have to drive pretty far just to buy a bottle of China Glaze or OPI. So I do a lot of polish shopping online. That is where I found China Glaze's Haunting collection.

I had to use two different e-tailers, but all was good in wonderland when both shipments arrived in just two days. I used 8ty8beauty.com, and head2toebeauty.com

Left to Right: 'Near Dark' - a deep forest green, creme/almost jelly finish
'Haunting' - a black base chock full of micro silver glitters, glitter finish
And 'Crimson' - a rich dark plum, creme finish

Left to Right: 'It's Alive' - a green base with micro yellow/green glitters with medium hexagonal green glitters, glitter finish.
'Near Dark', Crimson', 'haunting',
and lastly,  'Ghoulish Glow' - a glow in the dark polish.

Just now realized that 'Near Dark' has my dogs spilled medicine on it! Sorry :/

About an hour away there is a small Walmart/farm and country type of store called Alco. This time while visiting.. I saw..well.. a couple of things I wanted :D

First up we have three of the four polishes from OPI's 2011 Miss Universe Collection

From left to right: 'Swimsuit...Nailed it!' - a blue/teal base with blue shimmer. It is a shimmer/foil finish.
'Congeniality is my middle name' - a deep red/fuchsia with pink/fuchsia glitter, shimmer finish.
'It's MY year' - a pink/purple base with pink/gold/purple duo-chrome glitter, glitter finish.

Here we have 'Sahara Sapphire' - a blue/purple pearl, with an almost metallic finish.

Next up is 'Black Satin' - a dark charcoal base with silver and black shimmer. With a metallic finish.

From the Stranger Tides collection of 2011 we have 'Stranger Tides' and 'Skull & Glossbones'. I'm sure I don't need to explain these two :)

The display on these next five was called Pinkcitment. All of these colors were brought from other already existing collections.

'Shorts Story' - a bubble gum creme finish.
         'Don't know...Beets Me!' - a raspberry creme finish

'ElePhantastic Pink' - a coral pink creme finish
'La Paz-itively Hot' - a coral pink shimmer finish

'You're a pisa work' - a dark pink creme finish

I also picked up Sally Hansen's 'Nude Now' - a light nude shimmer finish.

So that's all for this haul! Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

OPI My Private Jet

Hey lovely ladies! How are you all? I have been gone for a little over a month now. School has started up and I've been working full time, and unfortunately blogging had to be put on the back-burner. But I'm at a point where I can start again! I'm happy about it too, cause my nails have been naked for almost a month! eek! what a scary sight :)

For you today, I have OPI's 'My private Jet'. This polish is so talked about that when I happened to see it at my ulta, I had to scoop it up. I'm super happy I did. This is not only a beautiful color to be sporting this fall, but I would wear this any time of the year! I love it!

I used two coats here, with Nail Life as my base and Seche as my sealer. This is a gorgeous almost chocolate brown with little white/silver flecks of glitter. I really enjoyed this color!

Thanks for staying tuned! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

China Glaze and OPI Dupes

Recently I  bought OPI's Nice Stems minis. It seemed to me that 'Be a Dahlia Won't You?' looked a lot like

In all of these pictures I have OPI on my index and ring fingers.
I have CG on thumb, middle and pinkie fingers

These are both beautiful fuschia pinks with pink glass flecks. CG looks a little richer to me, but basically the same color.

What do you think? Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

Servin' up Sparkle and Turquoise Shatter and a giveaway!

Earlier in the Month, while at Ulta, I saw they had two new Serena Glam Slam duos. I bought the duo with 'Grape..Set..Match' and 'Servin' up Sparkle'. You can check out that post here...

I really liked that combo, but of course being absolutely obsessed with glitter I knew I'd be using 'Servin' up Sparkle' a ton.

Here I paired it with Wet n Wild Fast Dry's 'Silvivor'.

I used two coats of each polish, and one coat of Shatter.
I based them with Nail Life and they're topped with Seche Vite.

I LOVE that combo. It's a party on my nails and I couldn't stop looking at it!
Last time I was at Ulta I picked up OPI's 'Turquoise Shatter' I like it alot, just not over this. I like it over silver, but I liked the duo so much, the shatter just ruined it for me.

But I do like this alot! This is my first shatter and I enjoy it.

So what do you think? What are you favorite shatter/crackle/fracture colors?

Giveaway time!..well almost. When I hit 50 followers I'll be hosting a giveaway! I don't really know what you all would like so give me your ideas. I did pick up Turquoise shatter for it already! I just don't know what else.

Thanks for reading! Have a great day!
